After working for a development company operating in London and the south east for the last 4 years, I have decided to set up on my own to establish a development and investment company that my family and I can be proud of.
The vision is to build MARKAT into a successful development and investment company that will trade and hold property. The name - MARKAT Developments - is a nod to both my father (Martin) and mother (Katherine) who is sadly no longer with us. Truth be told it was the old man that came up with the name when he set up a distribution business and I thought it was brilliant so borrowed the pre-fix.
In the recent past I have had some great successes in acquiring interesting and complex site opportunities that have been progressed through the planning process. MARKAT will continue with this tried and tested process, using our own funds to acquire property and land opportunities. That said, MARKAT are always interested in discussing opportunities with funding partners.
MARKAT will hit the ground running at the start of 2019, navigating ourselves through the mire that is BREXIT to acquire interesting and profitable opportunities.
Maximising the planning prospects of every site opportunity, whether it be a brownfield site or existing building, to create enhanced returns on our investments is the aim of the game and we can’t wait to get our hands on our first acquisition!
